HomeMy WebLinkAbout025-01RESOLUTION NO. 25-2001 AUTHORIZING A FOUR-HOUR PARKING ZONE ON BOTH SIDES OF CAMINO TASSAJARA BETWEEN OLD ORCHARD ROAD AND SYCAMORE VALLEY ROAD WHEREAS, the streets named in this resolution are maintained by the Town of Danville; and WHEREAS, traffic and engineering studies conducted by the Town establish that a four-hour parking restriction is needed on both sides ofCamino Tassajarabetween Old Orchard Road and Sycamore Valley Road to preclude parking activities that are incompatible with the primary functions of Camino Tassajara; and WHEREAS, the four-hour parking restriction, as declared by this resolution, will allow for parking availability in a reasonable and safe manner; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2(b)(2), the Town Council finds that it is necessary to take immediate action on this resolution in order to prevent the number of for sale vehicles from increasing, avoid potential traffic accidents, and protect bicyclists using the parking/bike lane which is being used for double parking; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council that pursuant to Section 22506 of the California Vehicle Code, Four-Hour Parking signs shall be erected on both sides of Camino Tassajara between Old Orchard Road and Sycamore Valley Road.
