HomeMy WebLinkAbout156-00RESOLUTION NO. 156-2000 AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE LA QUESTA DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. A-375 WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council approved the call for bids for the La Questa Drainage improvements project, Contract No. A-375; and WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council has previously appropriated funding for the La Questa Drainage Improvements project, CIP No. A-375; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk of this Town did, in open session on the 12th day of December, 2000, publicly open and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and WHEREAS, the low bidder is WSP Trucking, Inc. of Lathrop and the City Engineer has recommended awarding a contract for the project to said firm; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Danviii e Town Council that the Town award the contract for the La Questa Drainage Improvements project, Contract No. A-375, to WSP Trucking, Inc. of Lathrop; and, be it further RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council, that the Town Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract with WSP Trucking, Inc. for $28,990.50 plus a 15% construction contingency of $4,348.58 for atotal of $33,339.08 for work in connection with the La Questa Drainage Improvements project, Contract No. A-375, in the form as lodged with the City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereafter be determined necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the obligations to the Town thereunder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of the Town; and, be it further RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall within five (5) days of the adoption of this resolution, transmit an Extract of Public Works contract award to the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, CA 94101. (Note: Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding this ratio of apprentices to journeymen be made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards of such findings.).
