HomeMy WebLinkAbout120-00RESOLUTION NOo 120-2000 AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH EAST BAY MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT REGARDING PUBLIC ACCESS AND USAGE OF THE CASTENADA PUMPING PLANT SITE ON CAMINO TASSAJARA IN DANVILLE WHEREAS, the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) owns a 2.24 acre site in Danville known as the Castenada Pumping Plant site (the Castenada site); and WHEREAS, the Castenada site is located at the gateway to the Sycamore Valley in Danville and is designated for public usage and for public trail access in the Danville 2010 General Plan and the Townwide Trails Master Plan; and WHEREAS, completion of the northem segment of the Sycamore Creek Trail from the Brookview neighborhood noah to Camino Tassajara is a high priority project for the Town; and WHEREAS, the Town desires to work with EBMUD to upgrade, beautify and provide for expanded public use of the Castenada site; and WHEREAS, EBMUD has consented to granting a revocable "License Agreement" to the Town, consenting to such public access to and use of the property as prescribed; now, therefore be it RESOLVED that the Danville Town Council hereby approves said revocable License Agreement and authorizes the Town Manager to execute such agreement in the form lodged with the City Clerk.
