HomeMy WebLinkAbout108-00 RESOLUTION NO. 108-2000 AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR IRON HORSE TRAILHEAD AT SAN RAMON VALLEY BOULEVARD, CONTRACT NO, B-297 WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council approved this project in the 1997/98-2000/01 Capital Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, the Danville Town Council approved the call for bids for the Iron Horse Trailhead at San Ramon Valley Boulevard, Contract No, B-297 on June 20, 2000; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk of the Town of Danville did, in open session on the 18th day of July, 2000, publicly open and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and WHEREAS, the lowest responsible bidder is DK Environmental, of Martinez, California, and the City Engineer has recommended awarding a contract for the project to said firm; now, therefore be it RESOLVED, that $49,234 shall be transferred from CIP project B-120 Townwide Trails, to B-297 Iron Horse Trailhead at San Ramon Valley Boulevard; and, be it further RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council that the Town Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract with DK Environmental, of Martinez, California, for $54,775, plus a 15% contingency of $8,216 for a total of $62,991 for work in connection with the Iron Horse Trailhead at San Ramon Valley Boulevard, in the form lodged with the City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereafter be determined necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the obligations to the Town thereunder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same affix thereto the official seal of the Town; and, be it further RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall within five (5) days of the adoption of this resolution, transmit an Extract of Public Works contract award to the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeships Standards. (Note: Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding this ratio of apprentices to journeymen is made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards of such findings.)
