HomeMy WebLinkAbout040-00RESOLUTION NO, 40-2000 AUTHORIZING STREET CLOSURES FOR THE PRIMO'S RUN FOR EDUCATION ON OCTOBER 8, 2000 WHEREAS, the Primo's Run for Education is scheduled to take place on Sunday, October 8, 2000; and WHEREAS, this is an annual event bene~ting the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation; and WHEREAS, this route is unchanged from last year's race route and in order to ensure the safety of the participants, it is necessary to close streets for the event (Exhibit 1); now, therefore be it RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council that the following streets will be closed on Sunday, October 8, 2000, between 6:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.: 2. 3o 4. 5. 6. 7. 9. 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 Diablo Road between Hartz Avenue and Front Street; Hartz Avenue between Linda Mesa and Prospect Avenue; Front Street between Diablo Road and Hartz Way; Hartz Way between Front Street and Laurel Drive; Laurel Drive between Hartz Way and the entrance to the Freitas Trail; Morninghome Road between Freitas Road and Old Farm Road; Old Farm Road between Mominghome Road and Contada Circle; Contada Circle between Old Farm Road and Thornhill Drive; Thomhill Drive between Contada Circle and Old Orchard Drive; Old Orchard Drive between Thomhill Drive and Paraiso Drive; Paraiso Drive between Old Orchard Drive and Everett Place; Everett Place between Paraiso Drive and Brookside Drive; E1 Capitan Drive between Osage Station Park and Greenbrook Drive; Greenbrook Drive between El Capitan Drive and the Iron Horse Trail; Paraiso Avenue between the Iron Horse Trail and Camino Ramon; Camino Ramon between Paraiso Drive and Fostoria Way; and Fostoria Way between Camino Ramon and continuing into San Ramon. APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on March 21, 2000, by the following vote: AYES: Greenberg, NOES: None ABSTAINED: None ABSENT: None Doyle, Arnerich, Shimansky, Waldo MAYOR CITY ATTORNEY CITY CLERK Course Description Stad on Diablo Road in Danville, at the corner of Hadz Avenue. Proceed east on Diablo Road to Front Street (R), to Hartz Way (L), to Laurel (R) to end of Laurel (across the bridge, then onto the trail, staying to the right at the "Y' in the trail) to Frietas, straight to Morninghome (L), to Old Farm (L), to Contada Circle (L), to Thornhill (L), to Old Orchard (R) {which becomes Greenbrook), to Pariso (R), to Everett (R), to Brookside (L), to Osage Park. Stay to the left through parking lot to vehicle gate near restrooms, then straight on walkway to the first "Y" in walkway leading along east side of school, then continue straight to entrance driveway to El Capitan (L), to Greenbrook (R), to Iron Horse Trail (R), to ParisO (L), to Camino Ramon (L), to Fostoria (L), to Iron Horse Trail (R), to Fallview (L), to Fallen Leaf Circle (L), to Summerwood Loop (L), to Alcosta (L), to the finish in front of The Marketplace.
