HomeMy WebLinkAbout005-00RESOLUTION NO. 5-2000 AUTHORIZING A TWO-HOUR PARKING ZONE ALONG THE FRONTAGE OF 100, 110, AND 120 HARTZ AVENUE WHEREAS, the street named in this resolution is maintained by the Town of Danville; and, WHEREAS, traffic and engineering studies conducted by the Town establish that two-hour parking along this segment of Hartz Avenue is needed to maintain the retail business character of the area; and, WHEREAS, the two-hour parking restrictions, as declared by this resolution, will enhance retail viability through turnover of on-street parking; and ' WHEREAS, the legal owner of the directly-affected parcels has requested two-hour parking; and WHEREAS, implementation of two-hour parking along this segment of Hartz Avenue will result in a contiguous and logical parking plan; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Danville Town Council that pursuant to Chapter VIII of the Town of Danville Municipal Code, two-hour parking signs shall be erected along the frontage of 100, 110, and 120 Hartz Avenue.
