AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF PLANNING TO COMPLETE THE INTER-
REGIONAL LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHECKLIST AND TRANSMIT THE
CHECKLIST ON BEHALF OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE
WHEREAS, the Inter-Regional Local Government Partnership (IRP) is a collaborative effort
convened to address regional growth issues affecting the five county area of Alameda, Contra
Costa, San Joaquin, Santa Clara and Stanislaus Counties; and
WHEREAS, the current members of the IRP are elected officials from 15 of the cities and
counties of the five county area (including Councilmember Greenberg representing the Town of
Danville); and
WHEREAS, the IRP, assisted by the staff of the three Council of Governments (COGs) for the
Bay Area, San Joaquin County and Stanislaus County, created an Inter-Regional Local
Govemment Checklist which will be distributed for completion by all localities in the five county
area with an intent of providing a database of local planning efforts are being made in
consideration of regional issues; and
WHEREAS, the Inter-Regional Local Government Checklist has been structured to give
particular attention to issues pertaining to jobs/housing mismatch and transportation between jobs
and housing centers; and
WHEREAS, the 15 members of the IRP have been asked to complete the Inter-Regional Local
Government Checklist prior to its distribution by all localities in the five county area; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council that the Chief of Planning is authorized to complete
the Inter-Regional Local Government Checklist and transmit it to the IRP on behalf of the Town.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 6, 1999, by
the following vote:
