HomeMy WebLinkAbout038-99RESOLUTION NO. 38-99 APPROVING A MODIFIED INCENTIVE PACKAGE FOR A PREVIOUSLY DESIGNATED HERITAGE RESOURCE AT 402 HARTZ AVENUE (APN: 20S-022-015) WHEREAS, Barry & Volkmann Architects have requested approval of a modification to a previously approved Heritage Resource Incentive Package; and WHEREAS, the subject site is located at 402 Hartz Avenue and is further identified as Assessor's Parcel Number 208-022-015; and WHEREAS, Town Ordinance No. 89-8 (Historic Preservation) establishes criteria for Heritage Resources and incentives that the Town can offer in exchange for designation; and WHEREAS, the Heritage Resource Commission review the proposal during their meeting of February 8, 1999, and did recommend to the Town Council approval of the proposed modification to the incentive package; and WHEREAS, the Town Council did review the project at a noticed public hearing on March 16, 1999; and WHEREAS, the public notice of this action was given in all respects as required by law; and WHEREAS, a staff report was submitted recommending that the Town Council approve the request; and WHEREAS, the Town Council did hear and consider all reports, recommendations, and testimony submitted in writing and presented at the hearing; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED that the Town Council approve the revised incentive package for the current use and development of the project, as described below: Continued use of the structures on the property for Business and Professional Offices; Continued participation in the Mills Act; Inclusion of a new detached two-story 1,530 +/- square foot office structure at the rear of the property; Waiver of parking in-lieu fees for off-site parking requirements; Application of the Historic Building Code for construction purposes, where deemed appropriate by the Chief Building Official.
