HomeMy WebLinkAbout150-98RESOLUTION NO. 150-98 APPROVING THE TOWN OF DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT PARTICIPATION IN THE LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT (LLEBG) PROGRAM AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE "CITIZEN POLICE ACADEMY" PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Danville Police Department desires to undertake a certain project designated "Citizen Police Academy"; and WHEREAS, the "Citizen Police Academy" is to be funded in part from funds made available through the Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program (LLEBG) administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (OCJP); now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Chief of Police of the Town of Danville is authorized, on its behalf to submit the proposal to OCJP and is authorized to sign and approve the Agreement including any extensions or amendments thereof; and, be it further RESOLVED, that the Town agrees (including any amendments thereof) conditions of OCJP; and, be it further to provide all matching funds required for said project under the LLEBG Program and the funding terms and RESOLVED, that the cash match required for this grant request will be appropriated from the Police Administrative Services Operating Budget as required; and, be it further RESOLVED, that it is agreed that any liability arising out of the performance of the Grant Award Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the Danville Police Department and the Town of Danville. The State of California and OCJP disclaim any responsibility for such liability; and, be it further RESOLVED, that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
