Run · Sunday, May 3, 1998 Hi Lisa: Thanks for you very fast response to my query. As per our discussion, I've outlined below what we are requesting for the 1998 Devil Mountain Run. We request permission to have a Beer Garden at the 1998 Devil Mountain Run. This would add to the event - and to the donation to Children's Hospital Oakland. RhodyCo has had a Beer Sponsor in over 50 events - and, never had any disorderly conduct related to alcohol sales. After a 5K or 10K run -- partialpants often enjoy a beer or two during the post-race festivities - kind of a congratulate myself / cool down period. However, the run being an early morning activity -- and health conscious active people participating - it would be highly unlikely that any one would drink in excess. Also, we would contain the beer garden in an enclosed setting - on the private property of Town & Country Shopping Center - with a controlled entrance/exit area, not allowing people out of the enclosed area with a beer in hand. The Beer Sponsor will be making a donation, on top of sales -- and, all proceeds from sales will go to Children's Hospital Oakland. I appreciate your consideration of this request. Thanks Lisa.
