AUTHORIZING THE REDUCTION OF THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT ON
MCCAULEY ROAD BETWEEN DIABLO ROAD AND RIMA COURT FROM 35
MPH TO 25 MPH
WHEREAS, the streets named in this resolution are maintained by the Town of Danville; and
WHEREAS, traffic and engineering studies conducted by the Town establish that the speed limit
on McCauley Road between Diablo Road and Rima Court should be reduced from 35 mph to 25
mph to enhance traffic safety; and
WHEREAS, the reduction of the speed limit, as declared by this resolution, will facilitate the
orderly movement of traffic in a reasonable and safe manner; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Danville Town Council that pursuant to Section 21357 of the California
Vehicle Code, the existing 35 mph speed limit signs on McCauley Road be replaced with 25 mph
signs for both the northbound and southbound directions as described above.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on February 3, 1998, by the
following vote:
