HomeMy WebLinkAbout173-97RESOLUTION NO. 173-97 ACCEPTING THE FIRST QUARTER FINANCIAL REPORT FOR FISCAL YEAR 1997-98 WHEREAS, financial reports are prepared by Town staff on a quarterly basis, and reviewed and approved by the Town Council; and WHEREAS, the First Quarter Financial Reports for Fiscal Year 1997-98 indicate that the Town's revenue and expenditure pattern is on a normal course, and very similar to the first quarter of 1996-97; and WHEREAS, as part of the annual Financial Plan process, the Town sets employee salary ranges; and WHEREAS, based upon a salary survey of nine comparable cities; and WHEREAS, four position changes have been recommended by the Town Manager: 1. Retitle "Traffic Operations Coordinator" to "Traffic Engineer"; 2. Reclassify one "Program Supervisor" to "Recreation Services Manager"; 3. Upgrade one "Adult/Senior Services Coordinator" from 80% to 100% FTE; 4. Upgrade one Building Inspector position to a Plans Examiner/Plan Checker; and WHEREAS, the fiscal impact of all of the aforementioned position changes has been previously appropriated in the 1997-98 Financial Plan; now, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council accepts and approves the First Quarter Financial Report for Fiscal Year 1997-98, including Financial Reports, 1997-98 employee salary ranges and four position changes as recommended by the Town Manager.
