HomeMy WebLinkAbout151-97RESOLUTION NO. 151-97 AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION AND THE TOWN OF DANVILLE AS A SURFACE TRANSPORTATION PROGRAM FUNDING RECIPIENT FOR THE REIMBURSEMENT EXCHANGE PROGRAM; CIP PROJECT A-214, "SOUTHERN PACIFIC DEPOT RENOVATION" WHEREAS, the Town of Danville, as the administering agency applicant in partnership with the Museum of the San Ramon Valley, a California 501(c)3 public non-profit organization, was awarded a grant from Transportation Enhancement Activities (TEA) program funds in the amount of $272,000 for the rehabilitation of the Danville Southern Pacific Railroad Depot; and WHEREAS, on July 15, 1997, the Town of Danville accepted MTC grant funds and appropriated such funds to CIP-214, Southern Pacific Depot Renovation; and WHEREAS, the Town was requested to submit a request to exchange Surface Transportation Program funds for Reimbursement Exchange Program funds; and WHEREAS, on September 19, 1997, the Town requested such a funding exchange; and WHEREAS, MTC has requested the Town to enter into an agreement to convert STP funds into Reimbursement Exchange Program funds; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Town Manager be authorized to sign an agreement between the Metropolitan Transportation Commission and the Town of Danville as a Surface Transportation Program Funding Recipient for the Reimbursement Exchange Program; CIP Project A-214, "Southern Pacific Depot Renovation." APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting on October 7, 1997, by the following vote: AYES: Doyle, NOES: None ABSTAINED: None ABSENT: None Waldo, Arnerich, Greenberg, Shimansky MAYOR APPROVED AS TO FORM: CITY ATTORNEY ATTEST: CITY CLERK
