APPROVING CALL FOR BIDS AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR PURCHASE
OF TWO POLICE PATROL VEHICLES AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE
EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Police Department to retire patrol vehicles which exceed
100,000 miles of service to assure reliability and control maintenance costs; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville Police Department currently has two patrol vehicles with
over 100,000 miles; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville Police Department has programmed and budgeted the cost
to purchase and outfit a patrol vehicle; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville Police Department needs to call for bids and appropriate
funds to purchase patrol vehicles; now therefore be it
RESOLVED by the Danville Town Council that Police staff is hereby authorized and directed
to call for bids and appropriate funds for purchase of two police patrol vehicles and emergency
response equipment.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting held on June 17, 1997, by the
following vote:
