APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE EL CERRO BOULEVARD/LA GONDA WAY
TRAFFIC SIGNAL
WHEREAS, expansion of St. Isidore's Elementary School, combined with existing traffic, will
result in the need for a traffic signal at the El Cerro Blvd./La Gonda Way intersection; and
WHEREAS, the Town has planned for signalization of this intersection in the Five Year Capital
Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, installation of the traffic signal is necessary to (1) maintain Growth Management
Level of Service standards for basic routes and (2) ensure the orderly movement of traffic through
the intersection; and
WHEREAS, funding for the signal will be shared by existing and future beneficiaries of the
traffic signal, in accordance with adopted Town policies; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council has determined and orders as follows:

A total of $98,792 is appropriated from the following sources to finance the
Town's share and prior plus future developer contributions for the traffic signal:
$19,758 from the E1 Cerro/La Gonda Way sub-account of the CIP Fund;
$32,931 from the Measure C Local Street Maintenance and Improvement Fund
sub-account of the CIP Fund; and
$46,103 from the RTIP sub-account of the CIP Fund.
St. Isidore's received bids for the signal and will be the contracting agency; the
low bid plus other costs total $131,723.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting on June 17, 1997, by the
following vote:
