SUPPORTING THE PASSAGE OF SENATE BILL 1310 BY THE STATE
LEGISLATURE
WHEREAS, the state has historically transferred local revenues to balance the state budget in
time of recession; and
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 1310 has been introduced to return surplus state funds to local
governments; and
WHEREAS, such legislation could generate $3.5 billion statewide for local governments; and
WHEREAS, revenues are to be phased in over a five-year period and distributed on a per capita
basis; and
WHEREAS, the City of Covina has requested that California cities adopt resolutions of support
for this legislation; now therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council supports the passage of Senate Bill 1310.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting on April 1, 1997, by the
following vote:
AYES: Doyle, Waldo, Arnerich, Greenberg, Shimansky
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: None
