AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF THE 1-680/SYCAMORE VALLEY ROAD PARK AND RIDE
FACILITY IN THE TOWN OF DANVILLE
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville and the Department of Transportation (Caltrans) share
transportation facilities within the Interstate 680 right-of~way and interchanges; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville wishes to build a Park and Ride facility as described in the
attached Cooperative Agreement; and
WHEREAS, Caltrans intends to relinquish a portion of superseded highway to the Town of
Danville upon completion of the Park and Ride facility; and
WHEREAS, both the Town of Danville and Caltrans wish to define the terms and conditions
under which the project is to be engineered, constructed, financed, operated, and
maintained; and
WHEREAS, the project development responsibilities for the project were covered in a prior
Cooperative Agreement by Caltrans and the Contra Costa Transportation Authority by a
Scope of Work on November 1, 1995 and made part of District Agreement No. 4-1376-C
Document No. CC-7-8026; and
WHEREAS, it is mutually beneficial for the Town and Caltrans to cooperatively construct the
proposed project; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, by the Danville Town Council that the Mayor of the Town of Danville is hereby
authorized by the Town Council to execute the Cooperative Agreement For the construction
of the 1-680/Sycamore Valley Road Park and Ride Facility in the Town of Danville on behalf
of the Town of Danville, in the form as lodged with the City Clerk, together with such
changes as may hereafter become necessary provided such changes do not materially
increase the obligations of the Town thereunder.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting on March 4, 1997, by the
following vote:
