HomeMy WebLinkAbout009-97RESOLUTION NO. 9-97 AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR A COMMUNITY ALERT NOTIFICATION SYSTEM TO ATS CITYWATCH WHEREAS, the Town of Danville desires to provide immediate and important information to the residents of Danville; and WHEREAS, the Citizen's Option for Public Safety (COPS) bill provides funding to support this program; and WHEREAS, on October 1, 1996, the Town Council appropriated funds to purchase a community alert notification system; and WHEREAS, two bids were solicited from firms that could provide a community alert notification system; and WHEREAS, bids were evaluated and it was determined that ATS CityWatch provided the best overall product and most cost effective proposal; now, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the Danville Town Council hereby authorizes the Town Manager to execute, on behalf of the Town, a contractual agreement for a community alert notification system with ATS CityWatch for $23,220 in the form lodged with the City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereafter become necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the obligations of the Town thereunder.
