Home My WebLink About049-96 RESOLUTION NO. 49-96 ACCEPTING THE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY CLERK'S CERTIFICATE OF THE RESULT OF THE CANVASS OF MEASURE E ELECTION RETURNS WHEREAS, on July 5, 1995, the Town Council adopted Ordinance No. 95-5 rezoning property from P-1 to P-1 in conjunction with the proposed Shadowhawk II development; and WHEREAS, opponents of the Shadowhawk II project obtained sufficient signatures to qualify a referendum against Ordinance No. 95-5; and WHEREAS, on September 5, 1995, the Council took action to submit the referendum against Ordinance 95-5 to the voters; and WHEREAS, Measure E was placed on the ballot for the Primary Election on March 26, 1996; and WHEREAS, the County Clerk has certified the results of the March 26, 1996 election as contained in Exhibit 'T'; and WHEREAS, Measure E was defeated and Ordinance No. 95-5 did not become effective; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED that the Danville Town Council hereby accepts the certified results of the Canvass of Returns.
