RESOLUTION NO. 8-96
ADOPTION OF RESOLUTION NO. 8-96, APPROVING CALL FOR BIDS AND
APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR PURCHASE OF ONE POLICE PATROL VEHICLE AND
EMERGENCY RESPONSE EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the Police Department to retire patrol vehicles which exceed
100,000 miles of service to assure reliability and control maintenance costs; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville Police Department currently has one patrol vehicle with
over 100,000 miles; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville Police Department has programmed and budgeted the
cost to purchase and outfit a patrol vehicle; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville Police Department needs to call for bids and appropriate
funds to purchase a patrol vehicle; now therefore be it
RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Danville that Police staff is hereby
authorized and directed to call for bids and appropriate funds for purchase of a police
patrol vehicle and emergency response equipment.
APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Danville at a Regular Meeting held on
February 6, 1996, by the following vote:
