AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF
MAINTENANCE SERVICES VEHICLES
WHEREAS, on October 17, the Town Council authorized the formal bid process for the
purchase of four Maintenance Services vehicles; and
WHEREAS, twelve requests for formal bid proposals were sent to various Bay Area
American Auto/Truck Dealerships and the Town ran a legal notice in the newspaper; and
WHEREAS, replacement of four vehicles has been programmed and budgeted in FY
95/96 in the Asset Replacement Fund and LLAD Fund for $90,000; and
WHEREAS, on November 21, 1995, bid proposals were opened and publicly read and
Shamrock Ford was low bidder; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Danville, approve funds of $87,903.33
from the Asset Replacement Fund and LLAD Fund; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, that the Town
Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract
with Shamrock Ford for $87,903.33 for purchase of four Maintenance Services vehicles
in the form as lodged with the City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereafter
be determined necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the
obligations of the Town thereunder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection
therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official
seal of the Town; and, be it
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting held on November 21,
1995 by the following vote:
