HomeMy WebLinkAbout159-95RESOLUTION NO. 159-95 APPROVING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE CAMINO RAMON SOUNDWALL PROJECT CONTRACT NO - CO45 WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Danville did approve the Call for Bids for the Camino Ramon Soundwall project on October 3, 1995; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds have been appropriated in the Town of Danville 1994/95 to 2000/01 Capital Improvement Program; and WHEREAS, the acting City Clerk of the Town of Danville did, in open session, on the 26th day of October, 1995, publicly opened and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and WHEREAS, the low bidder is Ross F. Carroll, Inc. of Modesto, CA, and the City Engineer has recommended awarding a contract for the project to the said firm; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, that the Town award the contract for construction of the Camino Ramon Soundwall project to Ross F. Carroll, Inc.; and, be it FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, that the Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract with Ross F. Carroll, Inc. for $ 374,000.00 plus 10% construction contingency of $ 37,400.00 for a total of $411,400.00 for work in connection with the Camino Ramon Soundwall Project in the form as lodged with the Acting City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereafter be determined necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the obligations of the Town thereunder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the Acting City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of the Town; and, be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk of the Town of Danville shall, within five (5) days of the adoption of this Resolution, transmit an Extract of Publics Works Contract Award t,o the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, CA 94101. (Note: Should a finding of and discrepancy regarding the ratio of apprentices to journeyman be made, the Town shall notify the Department of Apprenticeship Standards of such findings.)
