HomeMy WebLinkAbout155-95RESOLUTION NO. 155-95 AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT STUDY INVOLVING A 4.5+/- ACRE SITE AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF CAMINO TASSAJARA AND HOLBROOK PLACE (APN: 215-330-018) WHEREAS, George Putnam (Applicant) and Edward & Beverly Holbrook (Owners) have submitted a request for authorization of a General Plan Amendment (GPA) Study for 2655 Camino Tassajara, a 4.5+/- acre property fronting at the northwest corner of the intersection of Camino Tassajara and Holbrook Place, at 250 Holbrook Place (further identified as Assessors Parcel Number 215-330-018); and WHERF~S, the subject is identified in the Danville 2005 General Plan for Residential - Country Estates development and has been previously approved for a six lot subdivision; and WHERF~S, the property owner has requested that the Town of Danville consider a general plan amendment to change the land use designation to Residential- Single Family - Medium Density (3-5 units/acre); and WHEREAS, The Town of Danville requires Town Council authorization prior to preparation of GPA Studies; and WHEREAS, the Town Council did consider the project proponent's request at a hearing on October 17, 1995; and WHEREAS, the Town Council did hear and consider all reports, recommendations, and testimony submitted in writing and presented at the hearing; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Danville concurs with the recommendations'of staff, as indicated in amended summary form below, and authorizes the preparation of a GPA Study. . Authorize the initiation of a General Plan Amendment Study to consider the merits of a land use designation change from a Residential - Country Estates designation to a Residential - Single Family - Medium Density designation. . Direct the project proponents to concurrently submit a Preliminary Development Plan - Rezoning application concurrent with the submittal for a GPA Study. The Preliminary Development Plan - Rezoning submittal should include detailed information pertaining to the proposed lot layout, grading, architecture, and any other information deemed necessary by the Planning Division to complete the environmental review of the proposal. PAGE 1 OF RESOLUTION NO. 155-95 and, be it further RESOLVED, that in authorizing the above mentioned GPA Study, the Town Council is not indicating any predisposition to approve the requested General Plan Amendment.
