APPROVING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE
TRAFFIC SIGNAL INTERCONNECT PROJECT, PHASE I/SUB-SYSTEM 1
WHERF~S, sufficient funds have been budgeted to cover the cost of the project; and
WHERFAS, the Town Council has previously approved bidding the Traffic Signal
Interconnect Project, Phase I/Sub-System 1; and
XVHEREAS, the Acting City Clerk of this Town did, in open session on August 24,
1995, publicly opened and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and
WI-IERF~S, the low bidder is Ray's Electric of Oakland and the City Engineer has
recommended awarding a contract for the project to said firm; now therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Town Council for the Town of Danville, that the Town award the
contract for the Traffic Signal Interconnect Project, Phase I/Sub-System 1 to Ray's
Electric; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Town Council for the Town of Danville, that the Town
Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written
contract with Ray's Electric for $29,333 plus 15% construction contingency of $4400
for a total of $33,733 for work in connection with Traffic Signal Interconnect Project,
Phase I/Sub-System 1 in the form as lodged with the Acting City Clerk, together with
such changes as may hereafter be determined necessary, provided such changes do
not materially increase the obligations of the Town thereunder, and to receive and
approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the Acting City Clerk is hereby directed
to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of the Town; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Acting City Clerk shall within five (5) days of the
adoption of this Resolution transmit an Extract of Public Works contract award to the
Department of Industrial Relations. Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box
603, San Francisco, CA 94101. (Note: Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding
the ratio of apprentices to journeymen be made, the Town shall notify the Division of
Apprenticeship Standards to such findings.)
APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Danville at a Regular Meeting on
September 19, 1995 by the following vote:
