HomeMy WebLinkAbout101-95RESOLUTION NO. 101-95 APPROVING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE SAN RAMON VALLEY BOULEVARD/RAILROAD AVENUE/HARTZ AVENUE STREET IMPROVEMENTS - CONTRACT NO. C-068, MEASURE C NO. 1715 WHEREAS, the Town Council has previously approved bidding the San Ramon Valley Boulevard/Railroad Avenue/Hartz Avenue Street Improvements - Contract No. C-068, Measure C No. 1715; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds have been budgeted to construct this project; and WHEREAS, the Acting City Clerk of this Town did, in open session on the 27th day of July, 1995, publicly open and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and WHEREAS, the low bidder is Redgwick Construction Company, and the City Engineer has recommended awarding a contract for the project to said firm; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, that the Town Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract with Redgwick Construction Company of Hayward for $1,233,536.75 plus a 10% construction contingency of $123,354.00 for a total of $1,356,890.75 for work in connection with the San Ramon Valley Boulevard/Railroad Avenue/Hartz Avenue Street Improvements in the form as lodged with the Acting City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereafter be determined necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the obligations of the Town thereunder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the Acting City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of the Town; and, be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Acting City Clerk shall, within five (5) days of the adoption of this resolution, transmit an Extract of Public Works Contract Award to the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, CA 94101. (Note: Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding the ratio of apprentices to journeymen be made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards to such findings.) APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Danville at a Regular Meeting on August 1, 1995 by the following vote: AYES: Greenberg, Doyle, NOES: None ABSTAINED: None ABSENT: None Ritchey, Shimansky, Waldo MAYOR APPROVED AS TO FORM: CITY ATTORNEY ATTEST: ACTING CITY CLERK
