HomeMy WebLinkAbout095-95RESOLUTION NO. 95-95 ESTABLISHING A POLICY REGARDING CANDIDATE'S STATEMENTS FOR THE NOVEMBER 7, 1995 MUNICIPAL ELECTION WHEREAS, Section 13307 of the California State Elections Code allows the Town Council to establish number of words allowed in a candidate's statement, who incurs the costs associated with printing the statements, and whether or not a deposit is required of those who wish to include a candidate statement with the voter information pamphlet that is distributed to all registered voters; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, that in connection with the November 7, 1995 Municipal Election, candidate's statements shall not exceed 200 words, candidates shall incur all costs associated with the printing of the statements, candidates will be required to deposit the estimated total cost of the statement with the Town at the time of the filing of the candidate's statement, and will receive a refund or an invoice upon final determination of the actual cost.
