HomeMy WebLinkAbout068-95,~--' RESOLUTION NO. 68-95 ~'~ APPROVING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE PAVEMENT OVERLAY PROJECT - 1995A WHEREAS, this project is funded by Gas Tax Funds; and WHEREAS, the Town Council has previously approved bidding the Pavement Overlay Project- 1995A; and WHERF~S, the City Clerk of this Town did, in open session on the 9th Day of May, 1995, publicly open and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by' law; and WHEREAS, the low bidder is O'Grady Paving, Inc. of Mountain View and the City Engineer has recommended awarding a contract for the project to said firm; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Town Council for the Town of Danville, that the Town award the contract for the Pavement Overlay Project 1995A to O'Grady Paving, Inc.; and, be it FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Town Council for the Town of Danville, that the Town Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract with O'Grady Paving, Inc. for $99,933.96 plus a 15% construction contingency of $14,990.09, for a total of $114,924.05 for work in connection with Pavement Overlay Project - 1995A in the form as lodged with the City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereafter be determined necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the obligations of the Town thereunder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of the Town; and, be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall, within five (5) days of the adoption of this Resolution, transmit an Extract of Public Works contract award to the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, CA 94101. (Note: Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding the ratio of apprentices to journeymen be made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards to such findings.)
