HomeMy WebLinkAbout067-95~'". RESOLUTION NO. 6%95 ~", APPROVING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE DIABLO ROAD/MATADERA WAY TRAFFIC SIGNAL CONTRACT NO. C-200 WHERFAS, the Town Council has previously approved bidding the Diablo Road/ Matadera Way Traffic Signal; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds have been set aside to construct this project; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk of this Town did, in open session on the 4th day of May, 1995, publicly open and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and WHERF~S, the low bidder is St. Francis Electric of Hayward, CA, and the City Engineer has recommended awarding a contract for the project to said firm; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Town Council for the Town of Danville, that the Town award the contract for construction of Diablo Road/Matadera Way Traffic Signal to St. Francis Electric; and, be it FURTHER RESOLVED, by the Town Council for the Town of Danville, that the Town Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract with St. Francis Electric for $81,885.50 plus a 15% construction contingency of $12,282.50 for a total of $94,168.00 for work in connection with the Diablo Road/Matadera Way Traffic Signal in the form as lodged with the City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereafter be determined necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the obligations of the Town thereunder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of the Town; and, be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall, within five (5) days of the adoption of this resolution, transmit an Extract of Public Works Contract Award to the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, CA 94101. (Note: Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding the ratio of apprentices to journeymen be made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards to such findings.) APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Danville at a Regular Meeting on May 16, 1995 by the following vote: AYES: Greenberg, NOES: None ABSTAINED: None ABSENT: None Doyle, Ritchey, Shimansky, Waldo MAYOR APPROVED AS TO FORM: CITY ATTORNEY ATTEST: CITY CLERK
