HomeMy WebLinkAbout053-95RESOLUTION NO. 53-95 APPROVING AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR SYCAMORE VALLEY PARK GROUP PICNIC AREA WHEREAS, Town Council has approved the construction of certain improvements and authorized the bidding of Sycamore Valley Park Group Picnic Area; and WHEREAS, The City Clerk has, in open session at the time and place noticed in the call for bids, publicly opened and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and WHEREAS, the low bidder is Gateway Landscaping, and the City Engineer has recommended awarding a contract for said project to said firm; and WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to have said project constructed in accordance with the Administrative Staff Report submitted; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Town Manager be and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract with Gateway Landscaping in the amount of $129,495 plus a 12% contingency of $15,535 for a project total of $145,030 in the form on file with the City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereinafter become necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the obligations of the Town thereunder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of the Town; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall, within five (5) days of adoption of this Resolution, transmit an Extract of Public Works contract award to the Department of Industrial Relation, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, CA 94101. Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding the ratio of apprentices to journeymen be made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards of such finds.
