HomeMy WebLinkAbout139-94RESOLUTION NO. 139-94 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE, AUTHORIZING SOLICITATION OF BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF NEW POLICE PATROL VEHICLES AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR PURCHASE OF EMERGENCY RESPONSE EQUIPMENT WHEREAS, the Town of Danville routinely replaces police patrol vehicles every three to four years or 100,000 miles; and WHEREAS, such expenditures are necessary to protect and enhance the public safety of the residents of Danville; and WHEREAS, the 1994-95 Financial Plan, approved by the Town Council on June 2, 1994, provides for the purchase of three new police patrol vehicles; and WHEREAS, all equipment, MDTs, dismantling and installation costs will be covered by funds from the Vehicle Abatement Fund; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Danville hereby authorizes the solicitation of bids for the purchase of three new police patrol vehicles; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Danville hereby appropriates $24,840 from the Town's Vehicle Abatement Fund for removal/installation and purchase of emergency response equipment.
