HomeMy WebLinkAbout063-94RESOLUTION NO. 63-94 NOTIFYING THE BAAQMD OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE'S INTENT TO ACCEPT DELEGATION OF THE BAAQMD'S REGULATION 13, RULE 1 (TRIP REDUCTION) REQUIREMENTS FOR LARGE EMPLOYERS WHERF~S, the Town of Danville adopted a Trip Reduction Ordinance (TDM Ordinance) 1991 in an effort to reduce traffic congestion and air pollution; and WHERFAS, on December 16, 1992 the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD) adopted Resolution 13, Rule 1 (Trip Reduction Requirements for Large Employers); and WHERFAS, Section 40717.4 (e) of the California Health and Safety Code gives the BAAQMD the authority to delegate implementation of transportation control measures to local agencies; and WHEREAS, by accepting delegation, local jurisdictions can maintain local control and help ensure that employers are not subject to a local ordinance and to the BAAQMD Rule; and WHEREAS, the Town of Danville seeks to develop and maintain a successful TDM program; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, the Town Council of the Town of Danville, hereby notifies the Bay Area Air Quality Management district (BAAQMD) of its intent to accept delegation of the BAAQMD's Regulation 13, Rule 1 (Trip Reduction Requirements for Large Employers). APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting held on Tuesday, May 17, 1994, by the following vote: AYES: Ritchey, NOES: None ABSTAINED: None ABSENT: None Greenberg, Doyle, Shimansky, Waldo MAYOR APPROVED AS TO FORM: ATTEST: CITY CLERK
