CONSTRUCTION OF CAMINO TASSAJARA IMPROVEMENTS, DIABLO ROAD TO
OLD ORCHARD, CONTRACT NO C-161
WHEREAS, tile Town Council has previously approved bidding the subject project; and
WHEREAS, tile City Clerk of the Town has, in open session at the time and place noticed in the
bids, publicly open and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and
WHEREAS, tile low bidder is Redgwick Construction Company and the City Engineer has
recommended awarding a coiltract for said project to said firill; and
WHEREAS, tile Town Council desires to have said project constructed in accordance with the
administrative staff report of June 29, 1993; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of tile Town of Danville that the Town Manager be
authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract with Redgwick Construction
Company in the mnount of $571,776.90 plus a 20% contingency of $114,355 for a total of
$686,132, in the form on file with the City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereinafter
become necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the obligations of the Town
thereunder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the City Clerk
is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of the Town; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall, within five (5) days of the adoption of this
Resolution, transinit an Extract of Public Works contract award to tile Department of Industrial
Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, CA 94101. Should
a finding of any discrepancy regarding the ration of apprentices to journeymen be made, the
Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards of such findings, mid be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that staff is hereby directed to finance and construct this project in
compliance with said administrative staff report.
