DESIGNATING THE TOWN OF DANVILLE'S AGENTS FOR
OBTAINING DISASTER RELIEF FUNDS
WHEREAS, a State of Emergency was declared in Contra Costa County on January 25,
1993; and
WHEREAS, a federal Declaration of Disaster was issued for California on February 5,
1993; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville may submit an application for natural disaster financial
assistance from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the California Office of
Emergency Services; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville that George A. Sipel, the Town
Manager, or Joseph A. Calabrigo, the Assistant Town Manager, or Carol Rossi, the
Financial Services Manager is hereby authorized to execute for and in behalf of the Town
of Danville, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, this
application and to file it in the Office of Emergency Services for the purpose of obtaining
certain federal financial assistance under P.L. 93-288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford
Disaster Relief and Emergency Act of 1988, and/or state financial assistance under the
Natural Disaster Assistance Act for floods, which occurred in January of 1993.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town of Danville hereby authorizes its agency to provide
to the State Office of Emergency Services for all matters pertaining to such state disaster
assistance the assurances and agreements required.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting on March 2, 1993 by the
following vote:
