HomeMy WebLinkAbout006-93 RESOLUTION NO. 6-93 AUTHORIZING PARTIAL CLOSING OF DOWNTOWN STREETS FOR THE ANNUAL DANVILLE PUMPKIN FESTIVAL SATURDAY, OCTOBER 23 THROUGH SUNDAY, OCTOBER 24. WHEREAS, the Danville Pumpkin Festival is an event sponsored by the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce; and WHEREAS, this event is supported and enjoyed by the residents of Danville and brings visitors to our downtown; and WHERF~S, the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce is requesting the closure of various streets in downtown Danville for the Danville Pumpkin Festival; and WHEREAS, in order to insure the safety of the participants, it is necessary to partially close a number of streets during the event; and WHEREAS, the Danville Pumpkin Festival hours will be limited to 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday and 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday; now, therefore be it RESOLVED that the Danville Town Council hereby authorizes a closure of the following roads from 2:00 a.m. Saturday, October 23 to Sunday, October 24, 1993, at 11 p.m. for the Danville Pumpkin Festival: 1. Hartz Avenue, between Diablo Road and School Street, 2. Prospect Street, between Front Street and Municipal Parking Lot, 3. Church Street, from Hartz Avenue to Railroad Avenue.
