A RESOLUTION DISTRIBUTING THE TOWN OF DANVILLE'S COMMENTS ON THE
Dougherty Valley General Plan Amendment, Spec~c Plan, and Related Actions Draft
Environmental Impact Report TO INTERESTED AGENCIES, ORGANIZATIONS, AND
INDMDUALS, REQUESTING INPUT FROM THESE AGENCIES, ORGANIZATIONS, AND
INDMDUALS, AND BRINGING FINAL COMMENTS BACK FOR TOWN COUNCIL
APPROVAL
WHEREAS, the proposed Dougherty Valley General Plan Amendment and Specific Plan represent
the single largest project ever processed by Contra Costa County; and
~VHE~, Dougherty Valley development will have a profound impact on the quality of life for
Danville residents; and
~VttEREAS, Contra Costa County is currently receiving comments on the Dougherty Valley
General Plan Amendment, $pec~c Plan, and Related Actions Draft Environmental
Impact Report; and
WttEREAS, the E/R lacks key technical information, includes questionable assumptions, and lacks
an adequate Mitigation Monitoring Program; and
~VI-IEREAS, it is critical that the Town convey these comments in writing to Contra Costa County
and demand that they be adequately addressed in the context of the California Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA); now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Danville has determined and orders as follows:
1. Town staff is directed to forward Town of Danville FIR comments to Contra Costa
County;
2. Town staff is directed to insist on adequate and thorough responses to E/R comments
prior to certification by Contra Costa County;

All reasonable effu, cs should be made to inform Danville residents of the Dougherty
Valley planning process, so that they may provide input on this project.
APPROVED by the Town Council of the Town of Danville at a Regular Meeting held on Tuesday,
July 7, 1992 by the following vote:
