PARTIAL CLOSING OF DOWNTOWN STREETS ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24 and
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25, 1992 FOR THE FALLFEST
WHEREAS, the Fallfest is an event sponsored by the Danville Area Chamber of
Commerce; and
WHEREAS, this event is supported and enjoyed by the residents of Danville and brings
visitors to our downtown; and
WHEREAS, the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring the event and is
requesting to close various streets in downtown Danville for the Fallfest; and
WHERF. AS, in order to ensure the safety of the participants, it is necessary to partially
close a number of streets during the event; and
WHEREAS, the Fallfest hours will be limited to 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday and
10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Danville Town Council hereby authorizes a
partial closure of the following roads at 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 24 to Sunday,
October 25, 1992, at midnight for the Fallfest.
1. Hartz Avenue, between Diablo Road and School Street;
2. Prospect Street, between Hartz Avenue and the municipal parking lot, and
between Hartz Avenue and Front Street;
3. Church Street, from Hartz Avenue to the Village Theatre parking lot.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting held on Tuesday, July 7,
1992, by the following vote:
AYES: LANE, SHIMANSKY, DOYLE, GREENBERG,
NOES: NONE
ABSTAINED: NONE
