AUTHORIZING THE PREPARATION OF A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT STUDY
AND THE CONCURRENT SUBMITTAL AND CONSIDERATION OF A
PRELIMINARY AND FINAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN - REZONING
REQUEST FOR A 1.7 +/- ACRE SITE IDENTIFIED AS
ASSESSOR'S PARCEL NUMBER 196-320-004
(RANDOLPH FINN APPLICANT/OWNER)
WHERF~S, Randolph Finn (Applicant/Owner) has submitted a request for authorization
of a General Plan Amendment Study for a 1.7 +/- acre site located at the northeast corner
of Diablo Road and Hill Road at 1008 Diablo Road (further identified as APN: 196-32-004);
and
WHEREAS, the property is currently identified within the General Plan for Residential -
Single Family -Medium Density use (3-5 units/acre); and
WHERF~S, the property owner has requested that the Town of Danville consider a
General Plan Amendment to accommodate a Residential - Multi Family - Medium Density
use (13-21 units/acre) development on this site; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville requires Town Council authorization prior to the
preparation of General Plan Amendment Studies; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council did consider the request at their meeting of November 19,
1991; and
WHERF~S, the Town Council did hear and consider all reports, recommendations, and
testimony submitted in writing and presented at the hearing; and
WHEREAS, a staff report was submitted recommending the Town Council take the
following actions:
1. authorize the preparation of a General Plan Amendment Study;

direct the applicant to concurrently submit a Preliminary and Final
Development Plan - Rezoning request for the 1.7 +/- acre site; and
.
direct staff to concurrently study intermediate increases in land use density
of 5-7 and 7-12 units per acre, and to increase the scope of the study to
include related surrounding properties, now therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Danville concurs with the

recommendations of staff as outlined in the November 19, 1991 staff report prepared for
this matter and authorizes the preparation of a General Plan Amendment Study as
indicated above; and, be it further
RESOLVED that, in authorizing the above mentioned General Plan Amendment Study, the
Town Council is not indicating any predisposition to approve the requested General Plan
Amendment.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting held on November 19,
1991, by the following vote:
AYES: Greenberg, Lane, Ritchey, Schlendorf, Shimansky
