RECOMMENDING THAT THE TOWN OF DANVILLE (1) ENTER INTO A COOPERATIVE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CONTRA COSTA TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY AND THE
TRI-VALLEY TRANSPORTATION COUNCIL FOR ACTION PLAN FUNDING; AND (2)
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT AGREEMENT WITH BARTON-ASCHMAN ASSOCIATES FOR
PREPARATION OF THE TRI-V~4I.I.I~2r TRANSPORTATION PLAN AND ACTION PLANS
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville is a member of the Tri.Valley Transportation Council and the
Southwest Area Transportation Planning Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Tri-Valley Transportation Council has agreed to provide for the joint
preparation, including sharing of costs, of the Tri-Valley Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Southwest Area Transportation Planning Committee, as part of the Measure C
Growth Management Program, is responsible for the preparation of Action Plans for Routes
of Regional Significance, and has assigned this responsibility to the Tri-Valley Transportation
Council; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Danville has agreed to accept the responsibilities of Contract
Administrator and Finance Director for the preparation of the Tri-Valley Transportation
Plan and Action Plans for Routes of Regional Significance; and
WHEREAS, after a thorough consultant selection process, Barton-Aschman Associates was
selected by the Tri-Valley Transportation Council as the most qualified consultant to prepare the
Trl-Valley Transportation Plan and Action Plans for Routes of Regional Significance;
and
WHERF~S, the total program cost of $250,065 will be funded with up to $150,000 from the
Contra Costa Transportation Authority, $14,295 from the Town of Danville, and $85,705 from
Contra Costa County, Alameda County, San Ramon, Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED that the Town Council of the Town of Danville (1) agrees to enter into a
Cooperative Agreement with the Contra Costa Transportation Authority for Action Plan
funding; (2) agrees to enter into a contract with BartonoAschman Associates, Inc. for the
preparation of the Tri-Valley Transportation Plan and Action Plans for Routes of
Regional Significance; and (3) appropriates $250,065 from the Measure C Growth
Management Program account, to be re-funded by up to $150,000 from the Contra Costa
Transportation Authority, $14,295 from the Town of Danville, and $85,705 from Contra Costa
County, Alameda County, San Ramon, Dublin, Livermore, and Pleasanton.

October 1, 1991 by the following vote:
