A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE
PAVEMENT OVERLAY PROJECT - 1991
CONTRACT NO. 91-01C
WHEREAS, the Town Council has previously approved bidding the Pavement Overlay
Project- 1991 Project (Contract No. 91-01C); and
WHEREAS, funds are appropriated for this project; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk of this Town did, in open session on the 2nd day of July, 1991,
publicly open and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and
WHEREAS, the low bidder is Oliver de Silva, Incorporated, and the City Engineer has
recommended awarding a contract of the project to said firm; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, that the Town Manager be,
and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract with Oliver
de Silva, Incorporated, for work in connection with the Pavement Overlay Project - 1991,
in the form as lodged with the City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereafter
become necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the obligations of
the Town thereunder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and
the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of the
Town; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall, within five (5) days of the adoption of
this Resolution, transmit an Extract of Public Works contract award to the Department of
Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco,
California 94101. Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding the ratio of apprentice
to journeymen be made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standard
of such findings.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a regular meeting on July 16, 1991 by the
following vote:
