HomeMy WebLinkAbout120-91RESOLUTION NO. 120-91 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE DECLARING SPECIFIED EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION AS EXEMPT FROM CERTAIN PROVISIONS OF THE FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT (FLSA) WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Danville desires to abide by the Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA"); and WHEREAS, the FLSA guarantees employees of private and public firms certain minimum wages to get time and one half overtime standards; and WHEREAS, certain categories of employees are exempt from the overtime provisions of the FLSA; and WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to establish a list of employee categories which are exempt from the overtime provisions of .the FLSA; now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville that the following categories of employees are exempt under the provisions of the FLSA: Directors: Administrative Services Development Services Economic Development General Administration: Personnel Officer/Assist to Town Mgr City Clerk Computer Systems Coordinator Senior Management Assistant General Office: Legal Secretary Secretary to the Town Manager Accounting: Accounting Supervisor Financial Planning Manager Maintenance: Maintenance Supervisor Maintenance Services Manager Parks: Parks/Recreation Manager Parks Planner Cultural Arts Supervisor Recreation Supervisor Program Coordinator Volunteer Coordinator Building: Chief Building Inspector Supervising Plans Examiner Plan Review Engineer Building Services Manager Engineering: Assistant Civil Engineer Associate Civil Engineer Assistant City Engineer City Engineer Planning and Transportation: Assistant Planner Associate Planner Senior Planner Chief of Planning Traffic Operations Coordinator Transportation Manager PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting on the 18th of June 1991, by the following vote: AYES: GREENBERG, LANE, RITCHEY, SCHLENDORF, SHIMANSKY NOES: NONE ABSTAINED: NONE ABSENT: NONE MAYOR ATTEST: APPROVED AS TO FORM:
