HomeMy WebLinkAbout115-91RESOLUTION 115-91 ESTABLISHING A POLICY REGARDING CANDIDATE'S STATEMENTS FOR THE NOVEMBER 5, 1991 MUNICIPAL ELECTION WHEREAS, Section 10012 of the California State Elections Code requires the Town Council to establish a policy regarding the number of words allowed, who incurs the costs associated with printing the statements, and whether or not a deposit is required of those who wish to include a candidate statement with the voter information pamphlet that is distributed to all registered voters; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, that in connection with the November 5, 1991, Municipal Election, Candidate's statements shall not exceed 200 words, Candidates shall incur all costs associated with the printing of the statements, and Candidates will be required to deposit the estimated total cost of the statement with the Town at the time of the filing of the candidate's statement, and will receive a refund or an invoice upon final determination of the actual cost.
