HomeMy WebLinkAbout044-91RESOLUTION NO. 44 -91 A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE APPROVING AN AGREEMENT WITH EAST BAY REGIONAL PARK DISTRICT FOR FUNDING OF SIGNALIZATION/TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENTS TO THE IRON HORSE TRAIL WHEREAS, funding for transportation related improvements is available to the Town through East Bay Regional Park District's administration of the Contra Costa Transportation Improvement and Growth Management Program (Measure "C"); and WHEREAS, Measure "C" funds may be used to improve the Iron Horse Trail through Danville with signalization and transportation improvements; and WHEREAS, the Town wishes to make the intersections of the Iron Horse Trail with public streets safer for the pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists using said trail; and WHEREAS, the intersections of San Ramon Valley Boulevard, Sycamore Valley Road, E1 Capitan Drive and Greenbrook Drive are of particular concern to the Town of Danville relative to the trail crossings; and WHEREAS, the funding is currently available and must be spent prior to June 30, 1992; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville that this agreement with East Bay Regional Park District for the funding of Iron Horse Trail signalization/transportation is approved; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, the Town Council hereby authorizes Town staff to execute the agreement and proceed with preparation of documents necessary to accomplish the terms of said agreement.
