A Resolution of the Town Council of the Town of
Danville Renaming Railroad Avenue and San Ramon Valley
Boulevard to Danville Boulevard, Renaming a Portion of
South Hartz Avenue to Charlotte Way, and Establishing
Consecutive Numbering Systems on Hartz Avenue, Danville
Boulevard, and Charlotte Way
Whereas, motorists have found locating business addresses difficult because
of unexpected name and direction changes on downtown streets;
Whereas, the Chamber of Commerce has asked the Town Council to solve
the problems created by the current street name and numbering system
and;
Whereas, the Town Council finds that the community will be better served
by a continuous north - south thoroughfare of the same name; now,
therefore
Be it resolved that the Town Council of the Town of Danville does hereby
rename Railroad Avenue and San Ramon Valley Boulevard to Danville
Boulevard and establishes a consecutive numbering system beginning with
the number 3000 at its intersection with E1 Portal;
and further be it resolved that the Town Council does hereby rename the east
- west portion of South Hartz Avenue and the south leg of Hartz Court to
Charlotte Way and establishes a consecutive numbering system beginning
with the number 1100 at its intersection with Hartz Avenue;
and further be it resolved that the Town Council of the Town of Danville
does hereby eliminate the "North" and "South" designations on Hartz
Avenue and establishes a consecutive numbering system beginning with
100 at its north intersection with Danville Boulevard.
Passed, approved, and adopted by the Town Council of the Town of
Danville at a regular meeting this fourth day of December 1990 by the
following vote:
