A RESOLUTION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF DANVILLE
REVISING THE TOWNWIDE TRAILS MASTER PLAN
WHEREAS, in January 1989, Town Council adopted the Townwide Trails
Master Plan, and;
WHEREAS, the Townwide Trails Master Plan is conceptual, and precise
locations are to be developed on a case by case basis, and;
WHEREAS, due to the development applications presently being
processed by the Town, it was determined that it would be desirable
to take a look at Sycamore Creek between Sycamore Valley Road and
Woodranch to determine which side of the creek would be most
desirable for the trail, and;
WHEREAS, it is desirable to identify possible north/south crossings
which will be utilized to provide pedestrian and equestrian access
to open space lands on either side of Camino Tassajara to be
managed by East Bay Regional Park District, and;
WHEREAS, on August 22, 1990, the Parks & Leisure Services
Commission recommended revisions of the Townwide Trails Master Plan
designating a precise creek trail orientation along Sycamore Creek·
NOW THEREFORE, the Town Council of the Town of Danville hereby
resolves;
THAT the precise creek trail orientations along Sycamore Creek be
designated as follows:

Park View/Shapell
Secure easements on north and south·
·
Brookview
Attempt to acquire private trail.
·
·
Sherburne Oaks
Secure easements on north side and on the south side,
west of the proposed bridge.
Archibald/Mixon
Secure easements on north and south when/if development
occurs.

LaSata
Secure easements on north and south.

Gates
Secure easement on the south side.
·
Meadow Creek
Attempt to acquire private trail·
·
Woodside
Secure easements on north and south side.
crossing to be on eastern edge of project·
Bridge
·
Wood Ranch Headquarters
Secure a bridge crossing at Camino Tassajara.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT; Woodside development be selected
as the most desirable north/south crossing connecting the East Bay
Regional Park District open space lands with a second crossing
desired at Sherburne Oaks.
APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting on
September 18, 1990, by the following vote:
