Home My WebLink About183-90RESOLUTION NO. 183-90 A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE CAMINO TASSAJARA OVERLAY - PHASE II - CONTRACT NO. 90-4 WHEREAS, the Town Council has previously approved bidding for the Camino Tassajara Overlay Project (Contract No. 90-4); and WHEREAS, the City Clerk of this Town did, in open session on the 23rd day of August, 1990, publicly open and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and WHEREAS, the low bidder is Gallagher and Burk, Inc., and the City Engineer has recommended awarding a contract for the project to such firm; and WHEREAS, there are sufficient budgeted funds for the construction of this project and the total cost is estimated to be $326,443; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, that the Town Manager be, and hereby is authorized to execute, on behalf of the Town, a written contract with Gallagher and Burk, Inc., for work in connection with the Tassajara Overlay - Phase II project, in the form as lodged with the City Clerk, together with such changes as may hereafter become necessary, provided such changes do not materially increase the obligations of the Town thereunder, and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of this Town; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Council hereby appropriates $326,443 for payment of contract No. 90-4; and be it FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk shall, within five (5) days of the adoption of this Resolution, transmit an Extract of Public Works contract award to the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, California, 94101. Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding the ratio of apprentices to journeymen be made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards of such findings. I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution duly passed and adopted by the Town Council of the Town of Danville, California, at a meeting thereof held on the 4th of September, 1990, by the following vote: AYES: GREENBERG, NOES: NONE ABSTAINED: NONE ABSENT: NONE LANE, RITCHEY, SCHLENDORF, SHIMANSKY ATTEST: APPROVED AS TO FORM:
