HomeMy WebLinkAbout177-90RESOLUTION NO. 177- 90 AWARD OF CONTRACT NO. 89-15, CAMINO RAMON EXTENSION WHEREAS, on March 20, 1990 the Town Council of the Town of Danville authorized construction of Phase I of the Camino Ramon Extension Project by Resolution 55-90; and WHERFAS, funding for Contract No. 89-15, the Camino Ramon Extension, is included in Phase I of the Camino Ramon Extension Project; and WHEREAS, on June 19, 1990, the Town Council of the Town of Danville called for bids for Contract No. 89-15, the Camino Ramon Extension, by Resolution No. 131-90; and WHE~, the Town staff of the Town of Danville did, in open session on the 26th day of July, 1990, publicly open and read aloud the sealed bids received as required by law; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer and City Attorney have recommended adoption of a resolution for the purpose of awarding the contract to the responsive low bidder; and WHEREAS, the responsive low bid is within the amount budgeted and appropriated for the Camino Ramon Extension; and NOW, THEREFORE, it is ordered as follows: 1. The Town Manager of the Town of Danville is hereby authorized to make and enter into a written contract with the responsive low bidder, Gallagher & Burk, Inc., for a contract amount of $113,706.10 and to receive and approve all bonds in connection therewith, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to attest same and affix thereto the official seal of the Town. 2. The City Clerk shall, within five (5) days of the adoption of this Resolution, transmit an Extract of Public Works contract award to the Department of Industrial Relations, Division of Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San Francisco, California, 94101. Should a finding of any discrepancy regarding the ratio of apprentices to journeyman be made, the Town shall notify the Division of Apprenticeship Standards of such findings.
