HomeMy WebLinkAbout172-90 RESOLUTION NO. 172-90 DESIGNATING A PORTION OF BROOKSIDE DRIVE A ONE-WAY STREET WHEREAS, BROOKSIDE DRIVE is currently a two-way street from its north end at the new Charlotte Wood School property to its intersection with EL CAPITAN DRIVE; and, WHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Danville resolves that on the basis of a traffic and engineering survey, and on the recommendations of our traffic staff, BROOKSIDE DRIVE from its intersection with the west exit of the new Charlotte Wood School southerly to its intersection with EL CAPITAN DRIVE would better serve the school and residents as a ONE-WAY street; and, WHEREAS, traffic control devices at this location will enhance traffic safety; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Danville that pursuant to Section 21657 of the California Vehicle Code, BROOKSIDE DRIVE shall be a ONE-WAY street proceeding in one direction from the west exit of the new Charlotte Wood School site southerly to its intersection with EL CAPITAN DRIVE. Signs shall be installed BROOKSIDE DRIVE at its intersection with EL CAPITAN DRIVE notifying motorists of the direction of traffic flow on the street section.
