SELECTING THE TASK FORCE MEMBERS TO DEVELOP A MITIGATION PLAN FOR
POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS UNREINFORCED MASONRY BUILDINGS
WHEREAS, the Town Council established the URM task force by
adoption of resolution No. 96-90; and
WHEREAS, resolution No. 96-90 stipulated the task force be
comprised of community representatives; and
WHEREAS, members of the community interested in serving on the URM
task force have been identified; and
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of
Danville that members to the URMtask force be appointed to develop
a hazard reduction plan for potentially hazardous unreinforced
masonry buildings located in Danville.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of
Danville at the regular meeting duly held this 3rd day of July ,
1990, by the following vote:

SUBJECT:
State Law (SB 547) regarding potentially hazardous
unreinforced masonry buildings.
This report recommends the Town Council select the URM task force
members.
BACKGROUND
During the May 1, 1990 Town Council Meeting, the Councilmembers
approved the formation of a task force, comprised of community
members and building owners, to develop a mitigation plan to
address unreinforced/potentially hazardous buildings in Danville.
Staff has contacted organization and community representatives
specified by adoption of Resolution No. 96-90 and selected
prospective members based on level of interest and/or subject
knowledge. A suggested list is attached as exhibit "A".
RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends the Town Council adopt Resolution No. 145-90 and
appoint the qualified community members noted in exhibit "A" to
serve on the URM task force.
