HomeMy WebLinkAbout137-90RESOLUTION NO. 137-90 COOPERATIVE GRANT APPLICATION TO CONTRA COSTA TRANSIT AUTHORITY IN THE AMOUNT OF $670,000 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE IRON HORSE REGIONAL TRAIL IN THE SAN RAMON VALLEY WHEREAS, the voters of Contra Costa County adopted the Contra Costa Transportation Improvement and Growth Management Program (Measure C) in November 1989; and WHEREAS, the Iron Horse Regional Trail in the San Ramon Valley was specifically identified as a facility of regional significance in the Measure C expenditure plan; and WHEREAS, the Iron Horse Trail in the San Ramon Valley is included in the Contra Costa County General Plan, East Bay Regional Park District Master Plan, the Town of Danville General Plan, and Townwide Trails Plan, the city of San Ramon General Plan and Parks & Recreation Master Plan, and the Recreation Master Plan of County Service Area R-7A; and WHEREAS, East Bay Regional Park District has a license with Contra Costa County to operate and maintain the completed Iron Horse Trail in the San Ramon Valley; and WHEREAS, the local communities and regional agencies have worked cooperatively to design, and construction and have planned for the completion of this regionally important trail; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of Danville that the Town Council hereby supports the Cooperative Grant Application toContra Costa Transportation Authority in the amount of $670,000 for construction of the Iron Horse Regional Trail in the San Ramon Valley. APPROVED by the Danville Town Council at a Regular Meeting on June 19, 1990, by the following vote: AYES: NOES: NONE ABSTAINED: NONE ABSENT: NONE GREENBERG, LANE, RITCHEY, SCHLENDORF, SHIMANSKY ATTEST: MAYOR
