AMENDING THE COMPENSATION PLAN FOR TOWN EMPLOYEES
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1990-91
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the Town as an employer to
provide wages and supplemental benefits for its employees which are
competitive and which meet the health and welfare needs of
employees; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council has directed the Town Manager to
periodically evaluate the compensation paid to employees and
recommend adjustments as needed to ensure equitable and competitive
compensation for all employees; and
WHEREAS, the Town Manager has submitted recommendations to modify
the Salary Range Plan to increase the salary of three position
ranges to reflect the result of internal equity studies, increase
salary ranges for 10 positions found to be lower than the average
of nine cities in the salary survey, and increase all salary ranges
by 3.5% to maintain the Town's competitive relationship with
comparable cities; and
WHEREAS, the Town Manager has also recommended that the Town
establish an additional employer contribution of $63.23 per month
for all insurance benefits made available under the Supplemental
Benefit Policy for eligible employees, to be prorated for permanent
part-time employees; and
WHEREAS, the Town Manager has further recommended the addition
deletion and reclassification of a number of positions to reflect
the Town's current work force;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Town Council of the Town of
Danville, that the Compensation Plan for Town Employees for Fiscal
Year 1990-91, as detailed in Attachment A, is hereby adopted.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the Town Council of the Town of
Danville at a regular meeting duly held thereof, this 19th day of
June 1990, by the following vote:
